You will notice the change in the name because the program is being adjusted to better fit the needs of kids in this part of Gwinnett County.

Instead of daily lunch sandwiches, we will be providing “manna bags” to kids that will include breakfas t, lunch, and snack items.  Hence the name “manna.”

You are receiving this email because of your participation in last year’s effort.  We would love to plug you in for the 2012 season.

 

Volunteer needs are:
8 daily distributors (drivers/riders)
4 daily checker/packers

Donation needs are:
250 daily manna bags (approximate cost of each bag is $5.00, click here for supply list)
OR
We will gladly take bulk donations of needed items and utilize volunteers to make bags with supplies on hand.

AND

Monetary donations are always welcome (we have AWESOME coupon shoppers).

The SE Gwinnett Co-Op is a non-profit organization created to support those in our local community in need of food and financial assistance with utilities and medication. This ministry is operated 100% through donations and is staffed by volunteers.
As the pain of a strained economy has put many in our community in a financially vulnerable position, the Co-op has experienced a sharp increase in the number client visits over the past six months. Each month we serve 400-500 families, giving approximately 27,000 cans of food and $18.000 in financial assistance. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
