My name is Lyle Hankins and I came to the Southeast Gwinnett Co-Op 1 month ago. I was recently laid off by the mortgage industry and I needed help. I was told to call the Co-Op by the untied Way. When I came in I was down and out and not knowing where my next meal would come from or when I would be going back to work. The Co-Op was very generous and gave me food. They also gave me a networking contact of how to find a job. Today I am very proud to say thank you because now I have a job and I’m getting back on my feet! I wish you could effect more lives of those in need within our community. Without the Co-Op I was lost and not only did they meet my needs but they helped me out spiritually as well.

The Southeast Gwinnett Co-Op is wonderful! God has blessed this organization with wonderful and caring people! Recently my 6 year old son, his father and I were living in our car due to our finances running out after relocation to Georgia searching for stable employment. We were 1 week away from getting our first check when we were told of this ministry.

We explained our situation to the wonderful staff there, and they helped us to have a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, help with medicines and the resources to help us enroll our child in the local school. We are now on a path to self-sufficiency knowing that we will always have our new found friends.

This has been and experience that my family will never forget.
